Downstair unit seeking compensation for the inconvenience
I have a tenant living on the 2nd floor of my condo. Downstairs unit (not owned by me) people reported a water leak in the ceiling. On inspection, we found mold. I’ve engaged the plumber, mold removal team soon after. They cut a hole in the ceiling, fixed the leak and removed the mold within a week’s time. This is a 2 bathroom unit.
The downstairs unit people are seeking compensation for the inconvenience caused. They couldn’t use the master bathroom for a week. My liability insurance is paying for repairing the hole cut.
Any thoughts on how to handle this problem? Property location Nevada.
