Repaint before listing, or offer a paint allowance?

 In RealEstate

Our home’s color palette is bolder — moody blue, dusty pink, olive greens, etc, balanced with white in some rooms to break things up. I tend to follow home decor trends and our last home went pending within hours of listing, without any staging or repainting. We need to list ASAP (in the next 7-10 days) and I am torn over whether to prioritize paint.

On the one hand, the aesthetic is highly cohesive and trendy; repainting would take time we don’t really have to spare, and could interfere with the intentional design style of our home (we do not need to stage). On the other, I realize it might be too much for some, and as we are in a contingent agreement, I don’t want to alienate potential buyers.

Do we spend time and money repainting to more neutral colors, or do we give our realtor permission to mention at his discretion that we are willing to offer a paint allowance to potential buyers?

TIA for your input!

Edit: We are in a competitive market; median days on market is 9 and average list to sale price is 100.3 percent.
