The housing market is destroying me

I am currently house hunting with my wife and the area we are looking in requires to be competitive a cash offer minimum of 20% over asking price and waive all contingencies. We have put 4 offers in on houses and have had no luck with actually getting a home. The fourth offer the real estate agent on the sellers side kept coming back to us to increase our offer and give them more which we did within reason. Deadline came and went so not sure what’s going on there but What in the hell else can we do?
